From Farmer to Agribusiness Trainer: Empowering Farmers in Nigeria

As I continued farming, something unexpected happened.

My journey stopped being just about me.

I started noticing a pattern. Many farmers around me were struggling, not because they didn’t want to succeed, but because they lacked the right knowledge and support.

That realization changed everything.

I began to share what I was learning. What started as simple conversations turned into agribusiness training in Nigeria, helping farmers understand better ways to grow and manage their farms.

Over time, this grew into something much bigger.

I had the opportunity to train:
Young girls, introducing them to agriculture as a viable career
Widows, helping them build a source of income through farming
Smallholder farmers, guiding them toward more profitable practices

And that’s when it hit me deeply

Agriculture is not just a business
It is empowerment
It is opportunity
It is transformation

Through these experiences, I understood what it truly means to build a successful farming business in Nigeria. It’s not just about yields, it’s about impact.

But there was still a major problem.

Even with knowledge, many farmers were still struggling.

Why?

Because they didn’t have access to quality agricultural inputs in Nigeria.

And that became the next phase of my journey.

In Part 3, I’ll share how this challenge led to the birth of Farmcare Agro Inputs and what we are building for farmers today.
